The ignition switch gets its power from the fuse block. I bet you’ve got a dirty or corroded contact in there. I dealt with this on my truck. I don’t remember the specifics but I lost my ignition switch, backup lights and a few others. My K20 is a 4 speed and doesn’t have a neutral safety switch.
