My 70 grill fit great, but I think it is considered NOS because it is a GM product. The inner grill is just a repro and it fit great. I got the GM grill for the outer becasue it is the only one that has CHEVROLET stamped in it.

NOS = means "New Old Stock"
That is what my grill is considered, because GM is still selling these with the CHEVROLET stamped in them. |

Yes, GM still sells and produces the grills for the 69-70 and 71-72. Don't know about the older ones. However, since they are still producing them, they are not NOS. NOS are parts that still are in stock but are not being produced anymore.
Here is the one I bought for my 69 from the local dealer a few weeks ago after adding my inner grill. So far, all the hardware parts have fit perfectly but I haven't installed the grill yet.

I called the local Chevy dealership here and asked an older guy if they had an outer grille for a 71-72 truck and he said they had two of 'em! They're holding one for me till I get enough $$$ to get it. I bought a NOS GM grille emblem off eBay a while back for like $20, i've seen repros go for like $40 from some places.
