One Part Left to Buy to Finish the Truck
This is as much an excitement-release thread as it is a question. I still have exhaust to put on, appraisal & insurance to get, & to fill and test the washer & squirters, some touch-up paint to brush on underneath, Sharkhide the custom aluminum works & tool box, add another coat of Penofin oil to the wood bed, & to flip the parking pawl bracket around on the TH400 (who knew it could be bolted on backwards after installing a new shifter shaft and seal resulting in a no-park situation? - not I, lol), but I only have one more purchase to make...
Where can I can I find replacement wiper blades for the original SS wiper arms OR do I have to buy the SS arms that come with the blades already?...every time I need new blades...doesn't seem right. The above list sounds pretty long, but not as long as it was when I started...I'm stoked!

Look in the parts for sale section and find specialty retail. He is in Jackson, MO. He sells them. A quick look shows the thread about three down from the top at the moment.

Re: One Part Left to Buy to Finish the Truck
I'll get a "Done" thread going with glamour shots very soon...when the above list is complete, even though they are never "DONE"! It's pretty dusty right now and I just got the hood aligned well enough to close and look good. All the current pics show the sorry state of the hood gaping open and a few months of dust all over it.
Thanks for the help keeping an eye on the parts-for-sale section, but those come with the SS pieces. Can we not buy just the rubber replacement blades any more?

Re: One Part Left to Buy to Finish the Truck
According to Napa, the rubber blade "refills" are on the books, but stocked few and far between, AND they appeared to be some sort of universal length that would have to be cut or snapped down to fit our 15" wiper. They were $8 each OR a pair, I did not ask as I did not want the universal risk that often comes with those type of products.
They did have, on the shelf (only two), the refill with the SS wiper blade assembly. They were about $10 each after taxes. They were the NAPA brand with no markings. They are on the truck!

Re: One Part Left to Buy to Finish the Truck
Thanks for the congrats! Just because the last part is purchased ( I did discovered another one over the weekend - correct speedo gear is needed - they never are "done") does not mean the work is over. I spent all weekend doing touch-up paint, applying Sharkhide to the aluminum tool box and bed rails, adjusting the parking brake switch, & and putting a final coat of Penofin on the wood in the bed. I am taking vacation next week and hope to get the "to do" list wiped out!
