Gary, that is looking awesome. I'm curious… where did you buy the cowl induction hood from? Also, what size rims/tire combo you running? Thanks.

Re: 67-72 short box 4x4 trucks... lets see pics
Thanks derotoreut ! Dale !
The cowl hood came from Brothers ( Tri-plus I believe ). A friend & I place a large order ( $4,000 or so ) so we got a discount, I paid $399 for the hood. The tires are 275/70/17 on MT Classic 3's 17" x 9" with a 2.5" lift, just clears getting in my garage by 2"..... Gary

Apologies for the dead thread resurrection but I am giving thought to parting one together and need inspiration. Anyone have any more pics of one of these rare birds to share?

Well I don’t think mine is very inspiring but here it is...
Here’s a thread I made in the 67-72 section a couple years ago... http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=784810

Thanks for reminding me about that thread. I forgot about it. Lots of great SWB pics there. Thanks for sharing the picture of your truck also.

Re: 67-72 short box 4x4 trucks... lets see pics
No problem... It’s funny, I was gonna originally get this one running, and move it along to someone else. The longer it’s sat here the more I’ve grown to like it. No major rust at all, and never had rust repairs done to the cab. Getting hard to find them like that. I think I’m going to keep it now. Swb K10’s don’t exactly grow on trees after all.

I don't blame you, they are hard to come by. Is it a 72? Can't tell from the picture.

No it’s actually a ‘69 that someone slapped a ‘71 grill in. It’s got an Np205/sm465 and a 71/72 Dana 44 up front. It needs a motor but other wise it won’t take much to get it running.

Re: 67-72 short box 4x4 trucks... lets see pics
You guys make me weep all over again for my father's 71 GMC short bed 4x4. The only issue it had was inline six with automatic. Not enough power but it kept me from breaking stuff as a teenager.
Nice trucks.
