Grill and Trim Repair
Hello. I just picked up a new (to me) grill for our '69. Even though it is is much better shape overall than the existing grill trim, there are two areas of significant damage I'd like to repair. I've found numerous threads on painting and polishing grills and trim, but haven't found any good info on how to repair these pieces. Anyone know of a tread or other resource for this?

Re: Grill and Trim Repair
That is not repairable . with the creased metal and hole damage it's not worth the time to even attempt repairs . Time to buy a replacement . restoring trim is time consuming and expensive . Just the shipping charges would be more than the cost to buy new .
This video will give you an Idea of what's involved . https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VdUcqjCKH6c

Re: Grill and Trim Repair
If you were not aware, AMD produces a stamped chromed steel grille shell for 1969-1970 Chevrolet trucks. The reviews have been positive. The repro aluminum grilles are thinner than OEM and bend/dent far easier. I went with the steel grille even if it isn't totally authentic. Unfortunately, the grille is on backorder from AMD for a few weeks. I will report back once mine arrives.
