Use the box, not the ram. I have done several box swaps, way back when before adapters were available I just shimmed with washers, and then tried cpp, but then captain fab works the best. The rams are finicky and hard to get parts and repairs that are reliable

Junkyard boxes go for cheap and dont be scared to replace seals on the box if they leak they are cheap and easy to do
