Finally put on my headers
Hello! I have been searching for some uncoated 304 stainless headers for my 70 C10 with a 3 OTT transmission. Well I finally decided to go with the hooker competition long tubes PN: 2452-2HKR. I have to say I was impressed by the look of these. The install went very smooth. I had to remove the starter and the clutch linkage Z-bracket. The headers slipped right in but they did touch the frame on both sides. I had to notch both sides approx. 3/8 of an inch. Other than that no modifications to the clutch linkages were required. I'm pretty damn happy. I would recommend these for guys with 3 OTT. Also they don't hang excessively low like others have complained about. My truck is dropped 2.5 front and 4 in rear.

Re: Finally put on my headers
I always thought that transmission was the finest in theft protection.

Re: Finally put on my headers
Here is my solution to the #5 plug wire. I routed it down with the tubes then back up to my holder. I also put DEI heat sheathing on the wire to protect it because it was almost touching the primary tubes.
