Gear Vendor Emergency Brake cable interference

Happy Sunday All.
I have searched without luck on this subject.
Just eyeballing the existing location where the GV would mount to my NP205 transfer case (‘70 SB K10 3x4), it appears the factory E brake cable setup will occupy the same spot and relocating the Ebrake set-up does not appear to be simple at all.
Anyone have experience with this issue?

If there is enough slack in the cable when not engaged. I would just integrate a guide or stand-off for the cable to slide on over the gear vendors unit.

I don't think this will help you, I have a 2wd and a automatic trans. My cable goes under the GV and clears but it does rub.

No pics... but my GV Unit is behind a SM 465 and I did have interference, I just installed the GV Unit then basically made/moved a few parts to go around it.

Shortbed or longbed? Buy one of LNC's parking brake cable repair kits (34-3063), then lengthen the threaded portions until the cross over section clears and remake the cable
