Identification
This is for sale nearby. It's cheap. I don't know much about the larger trucks.
Anyone tell me something about it?

Re: Identification
That would be a LCF, or Low Cab Forward.
I haven't seen very many of these, but I think it's a late 50's GMC?? Buy it!! |

Re: Identification
I'm not too good with Fords, but I would say mid 60's.
I believe they call that the "N" Series.

Re: Identification
It's a Ford N-500 or N-600. Probably a 1967 or so, it has the high roof cab. Most of those had the 300 6 or the FT-330 V-8. Not a bad truck. For a Ford!

Re: Identification
Here's a similar example:
This one is an N800 Diesel. In Bob's words, "nice for a Ford" (probably has a Detroit)

Re: Identification
Thanks! The listing said it was a 1960 GMC
I should have known by the shape of the emblem on the cowl

Re: Identification
Right up until the time you had to work on it! Many of those had Cummins N series diesels in them. The 6.0L Powerstroke Super Duty was not the first Ford you had to remove the cab for major engine work, those trucks were.
