Re: Quick question on fitment - power steering gear
This pressure hose does fit this pump, however, it looks like a regular flared fitting.

Re: Quick question on fitment - power steering gear
Yep that's inverted flare. In my notes I have me using: Pressure - Edelmann 70917. I made the return line.
But I have a small block chevy, short water pump brackets.

How did you make the return hose? Would I need an inverted flare tool?

Re: Quick question on fitment - power steering gear
You know I think I found the "pig tail" from the box end from inline tube. It didnt fit very well so I had to adjust the bends, so much so I creased the tube. So I had extra 3/8 tube around and made my own. If I had to do it over again I'd use copper nickel. Yes you have to have a crimper. I have a hydraulic unit I purchased on a previous build, love it. My hose section (from my notes) is Edelman 71236.

Re: Quick question on fitment - power steering gear
Yes I was discussing the return hose.
LMC shows the pig tail section item #6 here: https://www.lmctruck.com/1967-72-che...ing-components

Re: Quick question on fitment - power steering gear
So, if my 3/8 tube fitting is 0.61" (OD), would this be a 7/16 fitting?
And, the tube in the pic is not called an inverted flare, is it?

Re: Quick question on fitment - power steering gear
Throw that away, its not for your box.
The picture in your post 26 is the type if fitting.

Re: Quick question on fitment - power steering gear
A 3/8 Tube flare nut (if your going to make your own) is 5/8-18 threads - 1st pic.
The screwed up tube I made - 2nd pic.

Re: Quick question on fitment - power steering gear
Well, for the bracket and power steering pump installed; just gotta get a belt that will fit.
Hoses seem to fit well too.
