Installed snowbear proshovel

I put the front receiver hitch on in the summer, ordered the snowbear proshovel and assembled it. Two storms so far, it does push the snow. I have the 2013 5.3 1500
I've been through the installation and used it a few times. It doesn't seem rugged, but I new that going in and seems like I'm going to break it, time will tell. Already dreaming of 6k plow and a 2500 but so far this beats snowblowing

Re: Installed snowbear proshovel

I have a snowbear plow. it is very durable I have had mine for a few years. I got mine used. I plow my driveway and the street in front of my house for my elderly neighbors. the picture is of my 96 which got totaled last year. the plow is now on my 97. I have a trailer hitch on the for of my 08 Silverado 1500 just haven't got the adapter because my plow has the old style mounts.

Re: Installed snowbear proshovel

fyi : a friend of mine had a 1st style snowbear yellow blade setup and it was a tank for what he put it threw for years and years . he then got a new truck and figured why not a new snowbear plow . its the style with the center 2" hitch mount . the new setup black blade version didn't even get to finish his driveway before it was trashed .

he loaded it up and come over to my shop and i told him its so bad i would have more time in it than to just add the old mount to his 2" hitch on the truck and toss on his old yellow blade setup .

he sent the company tons of pics and emails and finally he got his c.c. company involved and got his money back in full .

so be for warned on the new units quality level there NOT like the old units .
