Rubber or Polyurethane Body Mount Bushings?
I am going to be replacing my body mount bushings and all other bushings on my Blazer. What is a better choice, rubber or polyurethane for body mounts. What about everything else? Thanks for any opinions.

Re: Rubber or Polyurethane Body Mount Bushings?
I bought mine (rubber) from Wes at Classic Heartbeat. He's a board member on here, and he'll treat you right.
The quality of the kit was first-class. Everything I needed was in the kit, and it all fit just right. I haven't used poly bushings, but I have heard from others that they make the ride rougher, and some people have had quality problems with poly kits.

Re: Rubber or Polyurethane Body Mount Bushings?
I’ve heard the same and bought the rubber kit from Wes. I actually still have both in the box. I’ll probably sell the poly kit. I don’t think most any of the oem manufacturers use poly. That said I used poly for my shackles.

I went with rubber as well. Worked really well. If i was in the desert i might have thought about poly but here in normal humidity i think rubber is the better choice.

I have wondered about this also. Haven't started on my '72 blazer yet, but thought the rubber would be more forgiving. Is there a kit with all mounts and bolts? Do any of you know part #s and prices?

Wes' kit (Classic Heartbeat) is complete. I don't remember the price, but it was a fair price.

Re: Rubber or Polyurethane Body Mount Bushings?
I agree. I bought wes’ kit when it first came out and just installed it few months ago finally. Complete kit, each mount was individually bagged with hardware, instructions etc. Some of my bolts were rust welded to the sleeves on PO installed old poly kit. But other than that really went on fairly easy.
