Rarest hubcaps?
I’m a 67/72 guy and don’t know much about 73-87 stuff, but while sourcing some dog dish hubcaps for my truck I ran across a guy who has literally hundreds of hubcaps for Chevy/gmc trucks from the 60’s to the 80’s. What are the rare/desirable caps from these years? I’ve heard K20-K30 caps are rare and difficult to find, what do they look like and measure? Anyone have any pics so I can know what to look for? Thanks!

Re: Rarest hubcaps?
A set of these are usually pretty pricey. K30 fronts not so common.

Re: Rarest hubcaps?
K/30 front caps are tough to find. Also, remember front K/20 caps for the big Spicer hubs carried over from '72 to '73-'76 and are worth grabbing.

Re: Rarest hubcaps?
Thanks. I’ve got plenty of those like you have pictured. Just wondering about the other style I’m not familiar with like the ones pictured above your post. Thanks again for the input.

Re: Rarest hubcaps?
So those are K30 caps? What’s the difference between them and K20 caps that look the same? Thanks for the pic and info.

Re: Rarest hubcaps?
The K30 fronts are for the Dana 60 front axles, and have a larger diameter hole (larger hub). While I know they are rare and hard to come by, I am not sure they are really any harder to find than the K20 stainless caps. Both are hard to find and bring a premium price if they are in good condition. The later K30 are anodized aluminum, which did not hold up well over time in the elements, and even when not dinged up, often get a 'milky" coloring which is impossible to clean up without stripping and re-anodizing.
