possible purchase of blazer offered to me what should I do?
a guy stopped by my house yesterday about an hour before I got home. My dad talked to him. He saw my blazer parked out in front of the house and wondered if I would be interested in purchasing his. apparently he installed an 8 inch lift and is now breaking drive shafts. A local shop told him it would cost 600 or more to fix. He said he was thinking about selling it for around 1000, I have not seen the truck yet, but i am certain I could get it for cheap. what should I do? I don't want to put money into it, but I was thinking about buying it and swapping all of the good parts to one truck and the bad parts on the other, depending upon which body is in better shape. My dad seems to think that it could be fixed by rotating the pinion. He wants me to buy it and sell it for some quick profit. what would you guys do. what do you thk is wrong with it? i will post some pictures after I look at it.
thanks for some input red72

PEOPLE BUY AND SELL STUFF LIKE THIS ALL THE TIME, IF IT IS NOT WORTH MESSING WITH JUST PASS ON IT, IF YOU WANT 2 BUY IT AND PART IT OUT, THEN DO SO, IT IS YOUR PEROGITIVE, ONCE IT IS YOURS, ITS YOURS P.S. IF U BUY IT AND PART IT, I WANT THE SINGLE WALL TOP, IF IT HAS ONE :p

Sounds like a decent deal to me. Even if the truck is rusted, you should be able to part it out for more than that. Let me know if you decide not to buy it, I may take him up on the offer.
