Here's a timestamped link to get straight to the truck. Looks like it will be ok... You can also see the Custom Camper 10 near the end of the video |

A shot of WD40 under the distributor cap, and it ought to start right up. Digging out might be a chore.
It never rains but it pours in Arizona.

Any time a car or truck has been under water you need to replace ALL of the electric parts that have gotten wet. All of the harness's, radio, alternator and the dist. componentes. The light bulbs and the cluster can be cleaned.

Dang! The picture of that rain cloud was awesome, in an eerie way. I guess ominous is a better word. Looks like the water may not have gotten too high on that truck. People drive through water that deep. Boy, that water sure is black. What causes that?

Damn, the water was all the way up to the top of the front fender. Make sure no water got into the intake.

Re: Globe AZ flood Chevy pickup damaged
Globe AZ is where we always bedded down in the Motels while Quail Hunting on the San Carlos Indian Reservation many years ago. It is unusual to have the downtown areas flood, but that's normal out on the desert.
Every year almost new roads would be dozed thru or a new 4wd trail made across a lot of the washes where they got washed out from flash floods. Underneath all that sand and cactus that gets washed away is a lot of big rocks/boulders that get rolled around....helps put a visual on the power of Mother Nature. |
