Looking for an nos muffler part number 3996417

I saw an nos muffler on ebay, not exact number, but close.

Thank you, I looked at all of them on eBay. I’m really shooting for the exact one I need. But that could prove to be impossible.

Was 417 the round or oval shaped muffler
I think I have the round one.

It’s oval shaped.

I have 2 mufflers. The number is stamped in ink on the muffler and the number is 3983318 best I can tell. The number on the box unreadable. Muffler is oval and is 21 1/4 long. One end pipe is 2 1/2” and other end is 2”. If this helps let me know. Thanks Don

The muffler I need to fit my original application needs to have these slots on the inlet to be horizontal and not vertical.
