Great way to put that. Every since I have seen this Post. I have been trying to work details out myself. I am willing to help. I have several things that limit me. But nothing like Bob's (BCOWANWHEELS) limits. I am 3.5 hours away. The limitations, I have are not my own, But for others that depend on me, and my job. I am staying tuned in for details.

Re: I sure could use some help
That’s such an awesome gesture. These kinds of threads remind me how good most of the members on here really are. I really wish I could come participate, if it weren’t for the 1700 miles between us I’d be there. I do love watching a good deed unfold though. Kudos to those who step up and sacrifice a little bit to get this done, even if it means “digging thru cans and boxes”. God will undoubtedly bless you for it.

Re: I sure could use some help
I'm 6 hours away and preparing for a trip north, otherwise I would be there in a heartbeat to help. Members of this board have always been good to me and I eventually want to pay that forward. I hope you find help close by and wish you a speedy recovery

Re: I sure could use some help
Have you posted on other forums on this site? Members w/other yr. trucks maybe live in your area and could lend you a hand.
I pretty much just look at the '67-'72 msg. board, The Blazer's, and the general mechanical forums. I rarely look at the other years forums on this site. Your request reminded me of many times over the years having people just voluntarily jump in and help me get something done. Not keeping score but I feel I've received more help than I've given.

Re: I sure could use some help
You might check with the local high school shop class or maybe boy scouts. Start thinking out of the box for groups that would like to help but don't know that you need them.

Re: I sure could use some help
SCOTI,
Pick me up when you pass through Arkansas and I'll help split the costs. By the time you get to my place we'd only have 650 more miles to go. One long day of driving would cover that. Seriously, I'd be willing to donate $$ too if it would help cover some costs for more local guys to show up for a weekend to knock this out.

Re: I sure could use some help
BCO.
Send me a message with your location and I will look and see what I can do. You are 1-2 hours away from me. I have alot going on but should be able to clear some time. Biggest problem is having dogs to care for and wood heat. Limits my time away from the house to 12 hours tops. |
