Outside door handles Rechromed Oem
Door handles Here are some sets of Outside door handles, They were disassembled all the springs and stop plates were zinc plated. The handles were stripped, copper plated then buffed. Then nickel plated and chrome plated on top.
There are 4 sets for sale sets 1 & 2 are 1967 part numbers 3891815, 3891816 and sets 3 & 4 are 1968-1972 part numbers 3927897, 3927898 I have been told then 1967 will fit 1968-1972 looks like the difference is the 1967 bolts are on a little angle compared to the 1968-1972 which are straight. When I disassembled the stop plate and the spring I heated up the tabs holding the stop plate and bent them back, when I reassembled the stop plate in I heated the tabs and added some JB weld just to strengthen the bent over tabs. All threads were chased with a 1/4-20 tap, there was one handle that had loose threads so I tapped it out to 5/16-18 should not be an issue. Buyer to pay shipping. Set#1 $300 Set#2 $250 Set#3 $200 Set#4 $100 I don’t know how to upload the rest of the pics could someone PM me explaining how to upload more pics to an existing thread? Thanks Guys! |

I'm interested in a set for a 1972 but would like to see the tabs and job weld work on the other side of handles please.

Re: Outside door handles Rechromed Oem
Here are some pics of the tabs and JB Weld. These are all very solid, I have had a set of these on my truck for a year no issues. If you are not happy with these I will take them back. I would not sell anything on this site that was a hack job, to much respect for all the time we spend on our projects.
