Problems with warm starts

Had this problem awhile back. My battery was bad and the problem went away after installing a new one about 6 months ago. I can take a 15 minute run to the parts house, go in ,get my parts , come right out and it just cranks. Usually
(cold) it fires with a touch of the key. After warm, Cycle the fuel pump a couple times and it reluctantly starts and needs to be cleared out to stay running. This is a 2002 LS1 with aftermarket harness. This is the only problem I’ve had with this since installing 2 years ago

HELP

Re: Problems with warm starts

A couple of things to check

1/ Bad cold grounds. I would be checking every ground wire connection by removing it and cleaning both the ground connector and the surface it mounts to.

2/ Heat soak into the starter from a set of headers too close to the starter.

3/ Bad battery cables causing a voltage drop. Check the cables for signs of corrosion and replace if necessary.

4/ Check the alternator output is around 13.8 volts or more.

Hope this helps

Re: Problems with warm starts

Leaking fuel injector(s)? Check for fuel pressure bleed off. Crank, but stop before it fires…check for wet plug(s).

Theses are making good sense to check seeing that a new Battery seemed to solve last time this happened. Thanks
