Grill swap/interchange - 74 on a 79?

EDIT: sorry I found out after this is in the FAQ section. You can pretty much ignore this thread. Thanks

Do the grills all line up and bolt up the same? Or are extra parts needed?
Reason I'm asking is my 1979 GMC dually grille is cracked and broken, so I am going to replace it. I like the look of the deeper 73/74 grilles, especially with the 454 emblem, so do they interchange?

While on the topic of grills, does anyone know why NO ONE sells a factory replacement grill with the GMC logo? It's either blank or a bowtie. I'd like to look kind of factory.

I've noticed that myself regarding the logo on the grill thing. It could possibly be a copyright deal?

Building a small, high rpm engine with the perfect bore, stroke and rod ratio is very impressive.
It's like a highly skilled Morrocan sword fighter with a Damascus Steel Scimitar.....

Cubic inches is like Indiana Jones with a cheap pistol.

My guess is GMC grills were not as common as Chevy's, so anybody wanting to make a buck, repop's the bulk of the market not the smaller market. That's why I went to a junkyard pulled a GMC grill out and redid it. None of the mounts lined up so i had to make some brackets. 1975 grill into a 1973.

Here's video of my grill restoration:

Do you happen to have the link for the thread? I just bought a 74 with a 80 grill and headlights but want to go back to the 74 with round headlights.

Little or NONE of the holes lined up. I had to make brackets or re-drill the holes (center core support) to get it bolted up.
