Spetra radiators ?

I need a new rad for my 80,s 1/2 ton short box 2 wheel drive, stock 350, no towing, just a cruiser. Has anyone installed a spectra rad in their truck . Also 1 core or 2 core for my 350

Re: Spetra radiators ?

I had a spectre on a brand F truck, and it was fine.

I prefer the biggest one I can get for my application myself.

My current C10 has a 4 core I think summit brand radiator that I think is great.

Well that won,t work. Old rad is from the old 6 cyl. that was stock and I put in a 350. but old rad cooled it OK. The 350 rad is 2 inchs wider. Not much around here no more for73-87 trucks .

Re: Spetra radiators ?

I purchased two Spectra fuel tanks and a radiator. They aren't installed yet but I trust Canadians and their craftsmanship over the Chinese import parts any day.

Re: Spetra radiators ?

I have had one for about a year. I have a 6.0 Ls with mechanical fan and currently have no upper shroud. It runs right at 190-193 all the time. I bought the one for V8 trucks with A/C.

They're fine. Nothing like an original but they work. I install quite a few at my shop, never have performance issues, usually it's just fitment.

Spectra is pretty much the goto around these parts. I have used a bunch of them.
