“Show Me Trucks “ 67 c10 to k20 shortbed build
Little down time so I’ll try and get some build pictures up. My 1967 Chevy c10 shortbed is slowly getting converted to 4x4 using suspension from a 82 3/4 ton k20 chassis. I built my truck as a road trip truck which I drove back and forth coast to coast but now I’m wanting a more adventurous off road truck. It has a aluminum 5.3l/4l60e and custom camper shell.

Plans are hopefully run the lighter 241 transfer case. Trying to keep the truck fairly light. Dana 44 and 14 bolt semi float axles 8 lug with 4:10 gears. Planning on 33” tires on 16” rims. I’m wanting the truck to look fairly stock with 2” lift in the front and hide the 8 lugs with the stainless dog dish caps. Delano engine kit to clean up the 5.3l look as much as I can. Either buy or build some buddy bucket seats. I’ll eventually clear coat over my bare metal body panels.

Welcome over to 4x4 land! That’s a great looking truck. I was going to ask if it was bare metal. I’m in to see this one take shape! Sounds like you’ve got some great plans already laid out.

Well some updates: I bought a 69 c20 donor truck for the cab and the tinted glass. I also picked up a np 208 case that apparently I can get adapter to make me get a vss signal for the 5.3l.

are you transferring the suspension to the 68 frame or the body to the 82 frame?
