Re: HELP truck dieing
Three things to check IMO it is easy to pinch the fuel lines above the tanks when re-installing them vented gas caps may be plugged may be sucking air into the lines somewhere causing no fuel to be pumped

Re: HELP truck dieing
If during the sender and hose replacement, you deleted the charcoal canister and plugged those lines, the tanks won't have a vent. The stock gas caps are not vented. Pre-canister tanks had a small plastic vent cap on a short piece of hose.
Mice will sometimes nibble holes in gas lines letting air into the system. Don't assume the new fuel pump is problem free. QA isn't what it used to be. |

Re: HELP truck dieing
What shape is the ignition system in? A failing distributor module could also have similar symptoms when the module heat soaks.

Re: HELP truck dieing
If you connect a Mity Vac to the fuel inlet line you can see how easy it is to pull fuel. If there is a pin hole you should hear it hissing. If fuel flows easily then your fuel pump is too weak

Re: HELP truck dieing
Sounds like the tank can’t breathe and is pulling a vacuum.
