Identifying a 6cyl and 8 cyl factory original Tachometer

I recently aquired 2 original Tach Dashes for 67-72 trucks. One tach is clearly stamped 8CYL on the back, but the other has no markings visible anymore. Is there another way to ID them? perhaps internals? appeciate the input, thanks.

It's been awhile since seeing the back of a six tach, but I'm nearly certain the tin is stamped as well, at least on a V-6 GMC truck I once had. The printed circuit is also is marked.
