Gallo Technologies GTS3
Has anyone installed one of these? If so, I have some questions.
Thanks.

Re: Gallo Technologies GTS3
For Clarification https://www.gallotech.com/Keyless-Pu...GTStarter3.php
I'm thinking that my daughter's Jeep Renegade has that setup with the proximity switched FOB in the pocket setup an it is a love/hate relationship. The love is hop in the rig, hit the button and go. The hate is that you can't be very far from the car or it quits unless you leave the FOB in the car. If memory serves right if she hops out of the jeep to help her mother get in the thing will die if she has the FOB in her pocket. I like the other features of that setup, I want some simple remote for the doors as I plan to have shaved handles again or maybe lincoln push buttons at most. I'm past the cute trick of the week stuff but if it has functions that make the truck more secure and work reliably then I am seriously interested in it. As far as security, I want a system that doesn't allow the average hot wire car thief to snag the truck easily. Some way to shut down the electrical system for start/run. Some way to shut down the fuel system. That could possibly be an electric tank switch with no second tank.

Re: Gallo Technologies GTS3
Yes, that is the unit that I bought. I've installed it in the truck, and it starts, locks and unlocks as advertised.
I have also installed the Dakota Digital PAC-1300 which is a headlight and dome light controller. The headlights come on when I turn the shop lights down and they go off when I turn the shop lights back up. I think there is some interference between the dome light function of the GTS3 and the PAC-1300. When I turn the truck off, get out and walk away with the key, I hear the doors lock, the siren chirps and the park lights flash, just like they are supposed to. The problem is the dome light doesn't turn off. I'm going to disconnect the PAC-1300 today and see if that helps the GTS3 function and turn the dome light off. Will report later.

Re: Gallo Technologies GTS3
I disconnected the dome light circuit from the Dakota Digital PAC-1300 and hooked it only to the GTS3 and everything seems to work fine. So, I am reconnecting everything I disconnected to figure this out and we'll see if it continues to work properly.

Re: Gallo Technologies GTS3
Wow, that makes a 2022 out of it.
Remembering that back around 1963 I got stuck putting door post dome light switches in four or five local pickups in high school auto shop after I did the first one. The first one was a bit of a challenge but the others went pretty fast. That was a lot simpler than the setup you have.

Re: Gallo Technologies GTS3
Yes, and if I weren't doing it for my wife, I wouldn't do it.
