drip rail
There is a seam in the drip rail on front near the divers side on these trucks that seem to separate. Mine has done this and I would like to repair it. Has anyone doe this and how hard is it to do. If it is separated can water leak into the cab.

A picture will help immensely. There are several seams in the roof of these trucks. To be precise the roof skin, inner roof, cab exterior and drip rail all come together in the drip rail. These are spot welded and need to be sealed with a somewhat pliable material. If they leak...they rust and you could be getting rust in the roof, window flange or even lower in the cab.

drip rail
Chop all the old stuff out and use a wire wheel to clean it. Repair any rust, prime it and use 3M drip-Chek to fill the seam. You can paint over it after it dries.

After I chipped out all the old sealer, I had about 3 inches on the rear of the cab that looked like it was never welded. I drilled holes, clamped it tight & plug welded with a MIG. Brian

When we do them here we pull the windshield then grind the rust out then wire wheel it then OSPHOS it then weld it up smooth and etch primer, primer and paint. If you need the driprails from the corner of windshield back along the top of the door and down behind the door we stock them.
