Can anyone direct me to a website where I can purchase the transmission linkage for a turbo350? I don't feel like going to every salvage yard on the planet to end up with the same worn out piece that I have. I have a 71 SWB that was a three speed on the column. I used a column from a 71 LWB. The rod that went from the column to the tranny linkage was too short? I fabricated a rod to serve this purpose with a piece of all-thread. My problem now is the lever and the selector on the transmission are worn severely and cause alot of slack in the column. Do I have to use the same thing or can I use something from a later model truck? Thanks for any advice... I recently moved and all of my catalogs are still in storage.

It's a juckyard or find some parts from other board members. Other than that you could switch to the Krugall linkage.

When I did mine I just welded up all the worn pieces. If you don't weld maybe you fine someone to do it for cheap. I have also heard that it not hard to adapt 73 up linkage,might not be as hard to find in a boneyard.

What pieces do you need. I just converted to a B&M Light Truck Megashifter. (Highly recommended!) I could send them to you if you pick up the shipping. Don't know what shipping is but I could find out for you if interested?

Did any of you guys install the Kugel linkage? If so, any mods required. Did you need the long or short rod?

Thanks for the Advice... I think I'll try this Kugel linkage.. I am concerned with the length though. The rod I took off that other 71 was 23" long and it seemed too short...maybe I didnt do something right I'll have to investigate further. But, for 40 bucks I can't go wrong... I can always recover most of that if it doesn't work out for me.

Paid $1200; sold for $1500 a few years later. Just a hint at the appreciation that was coming. Retired as a factory automation products salesman. Worked part-time over the years for an engine builder and a classic car repair shop. Member here for 24 years! This is the very first car/truck Internet forum I joined. I still used a dial-up modem back then!
