Changing from power steering to manual???
My friend has a '75 half-ton pickup & the power steering is FUBAR. He wants to change it to manual steering, & I need to know if there is anything besides the gearbox & pitman arm that must be changed.

The pump is bad, the gear leaks like a sieve, one hose is leaking, & he's on disability & can't afford a whole new steering system. He's been driving it with no power assist & says it's only a problem at slow speeds, so we figured maybe a good used manual box would cost a lot less & give less trouble down the road.
