Agreed on the needle adjustment. Should be super easy.

HOWEVER... like all projects when I took off the cover I ran into some broken pieces that I need to replace to make it work.

I am not seeing the broken pieces..If your talking about the crack in the white plastic it is supposed to be there. The wire goes in it.
But I can't see too good, you might be talking about something else.
