WTB - Running 1957-up 235 Engine

dont have the motor but i have a nice straight 235 v cover thats script and the plate if you end up needing them

Thanks for the offer. We were able to find a replacement engine. Thought it was a '62 based on the block date code and the head casting number, but it ended up being a '52 block with a newer head on it. The rod caps have little oil scoops on them. I had never seen that before. Oh, well. It seems to run alright.

I had no idea where I was going to find an engine. I started out searching Craigslist and eBay. I also found and visited a local antique vehicle wrecking yard. In the end, I found an engine by calling a guy who restores vehicles for people. He has a network of people that he knows that have car parts stashed away. He was able to refer us to a guy who had an engine that had been sitting in the corner of his garage for who knows how long. Good luck on your search!

dont know if it will work but pulled a v6 with 3 speed tranny running great out of a 54 210
