Looking for a quality 4" rear drop spring

I used to get my springs from Early Classic Enterprises and they were always great, spot on, exactly as advertised. Now I'm helping a friend try to find a true 4" drop rear spring and reviews of competitive brands are all over the map. CPP has a "heavy-duty and a standard duty, Mcgaughys springs are said to be "soft and produce lower than desired drops and LMC....is LMC...enough said. Anybody have a recommendation for a true 4" drop rear spring like ECE used to sell?

Have you considered air bags with schrader valves instead of springs? That's what I'm using on my '66 to get around the inconsistent spring height issue, and still be able to haul a lot of weight when needed. I used D2600 bags with upper cups that mount using the stock holes so no mods to the truck were needed.

I'm pretty certain the PO used POL springs in my '64, since all the rest of the chassis parts are obviously POL (sway bar, panhard rod, shocks and probably the short bed conversion kit as well). Seem to be decent parts in general, although since I don't know for certain what drop he ordered—or how much the real drop was since I never saw the truck prior—I can't speak for the accuracy of the claimed drop amount.

I bought 4" rear drop springs from the truck shop. This is where it sits after the install.

I have the CPP heavy duty 4” springs on my daily driver ‘66. They ride good and still have enough support to haul things in the bed. The only downside I can say is the coil windings are much tighter than stock or other brand drop springs. They are so tight it is very hard to even slide an open end wrench into to hold the spring cups making installation or taking them off the trailing arm a PITA!
Here is my truck 2/4 drop with 255/70/15 rear tires.

I used 97-06 Jeep TJ rear coils for a 4' drop. AC Delco 45H2104 variable. 653lbs.

We ended up going with the American made ones from POL. They were just right so they get a thumbs up. Thanks to all who responded

Any other changes to the suspension when using these springs? Shocks, panhard bar, etc.?

I used the CPP rear panhard #6572DTBK. It's longer than stock, adjustable and the bottom attaches at the perch. I have a squarebody rearend that lacks the integrated attachment point on the axle housing so attaching at the perch was a must. The longer length will give you less side deflection as the rear travels up and down.

We put a Chinese made shock relocator kit from Amazon. The grade 5 hardware sucked with cheesey lockwashers but the brackets seemed decent. Oh, and we bought KYB shocks from LMC.

Sorry, no pics today. The problem was it had 5" rear drop springs but it was on the bump stops. The 4 inchers gave it just enough free travel to provide a comfortable ride. I know some guys will shave the bumpstops and all that, but in this case we're trying to build a longer distance driver suited for a variety of conditions so practicality was the big factor in raising it up. We changed from a 4.5×5 to a 2.5×4. Removing the 2 " drop springs in front but keeping the 2.5 inch dropped spindles and swapping 5" drop springs in back for 4 inchers.
