Seat lowering brackets
I have tried the seat lowering brackets from Brothers. Tossed them. They move the seat down but forward. I want the seat all the way back. Has anyone that's used the FCF brackets experienced this with this brand? Also, looks like the FCF only mount to the floor on one side? Sturdy?

Re: Seat lowering brackets
I used them on my 72 . Very sturdy and the seat back is almost touching the cab under the rear window

Re: Seat lowering brackets
My 72 C10 has the inside the cab gas tank. Does the lowering cause the seat back to hit the tank. When you say it almost hits the back how close is it. Like the stock seat mounts or more?
Thanks |

Re: Seat lowering brackets
Very close . You can’t get a finger in there but it clears the tank just fine

Re: Seat lowering brackets
I put a set in my 68 last winter and really like them. Yes they only bolt in on one side but the bracket is much heavier than the factory bracket.
One down side is my wife does not like sitting lower, especially when she is driving the truck. I'm 6'3" and she is about 5'6" and she looks short driving.

Ordered the FCF brackets for my '71 Suburban last night. Can't wait to get them installed.
