Throwback Dually 90's minitruck style

I'd wanted a 2wd OBS dually for a while......and since prices are climbing and decent ones are thinning out....my wife found one for my birthday!

This is a very nicely optioned Silverado with NO RUST and (for the most part) straight and complete. The 454 runs fine with no noises and good oil pressure. Scored it for pretty cheap

Plans right now are to clean out the gas tank, change all the fluids, go through the brakes, and start using it some. Then, when I know it's dependable, it will get static dropped, monochromatic 90's paint with a small graphic, and some nice wheels, and serve towing duty for my wife's S10 showtruck.

I will keep this updated every time I do any work to it.

I had a 99 with the 6.5 diesel, done a few performance mods to it and pulled a 40 ft race trailer. That thing ran great, fuel mileage was good, wish I had it back.

OK, this will be a LOOoooog build as I always have too much going on BUT, I've ordered the first part! After a couple days of rain I found out the truck was leaking. Apparently when your cab lenses are broken, it gives water a wide open path into the headliner. Duct tape over them right now. Got a new smoked lens set on the way!

Nice ride. First thing I would do is ditch the running boards. It is a very clean and nice looking color combo. Looking forward to seeing ur progress on it.

Yes. I'll have to watch this. I've had my eye on one for some time. It rarely gets moved. So far I haven't figured out how to justify buying it, to the wife.

I like the upper radiator hose. It fits with a little extra.

Looks like they put it on backwards.

Still a great looking truck!

Actually, it was just shoved backwards out of the way. It's supposed to be more forward and sort of ON the fan shroud. The shroud and radiator was loose when I checked it out so I shoved it back there to keep it out of the fan to start it.

Re: Throwback Dually 90's minitruck style

The first new parts got put on the dually yesterday. New smoked cab lights with amber LED's. And it's raining today so I'm hoping the water is now kept OUT of the cab.
