I always manually disconnect the battery after every use. I have two trucks and never know when I'll drive them again after using. I always check my fluids before driving, so it's not too big a deal to reconnect the battery. Change up your parking situation before you go away?

I went ahead and purchased the
Painless Performance Remote Master Disconnect Kits 30206. https://www.summitracing.com/parts/PRF-30206 it works just as I needed. hit the button from inside the cab and battery is disconnected, hit it again and it reconnects, zero power draw to hold the circuit open/closed. it does include a bypass to power things like clock and such but I chose not to use it. |

How does the Painless kit wire into a AAW harness to allow the Dakota Digital, ECM, and radio to maintain power?

There is a 10A fused wire that has constant power. those would be the only battery drains. I chose not to connect that on mine.

Thank you Minkota. I was looking at that diagram and was wondering where in the AAW harness I would run that wire to keep those (radio, dakota digital box, and ECM) powered. Would I need to run to each of the leads for those items or is there a way to go directly to the fuse block with one wire?
