Why two holes in the cab floor?
Pulled the plug in this cab floor today. Got me thinking that I've seen a lot of trucks with this plug, but never seen the 2nd hole used for anything.
Why did they put in the second hole? I searched but didn't find anything... |

Re: Why two holes in the cab floor?
I think I remember them for cab alignment when welding.

Re: Why two holes in the cab floor?
That second hole comes in handy when converting to EFI, as you can use it for the return line.

Re: Why two holes in the cab floor?
One is for fuel line(s) the other for the vent line, which many have since been removed

Re: Why two holes in the cab floor?
My 72 K10 built in Freemont, California and sold in Nevada to a California resident with the smog equipment has those two holes. Been some time since I removed the stock tank and installed the rear tank, but I seem to remember a line going though that hole. A 1" plug takes care of both.
