Re: Replacing a 94 Cheyenne C1500 grill for a 94 Silverado grill
Although a different year I recently converted my 1997 work truck grille with sealed beam headlights over to the Silverado grille with composite headlights and it was very easy to do. I got a wiring kit off ebay from a seller named highbeamkits and he puts together a kit with all the correct bulb sockets and required screws that you need to do the swap. He had it labeled on ebay as 88 98 Work Truck To Silverado Grill Install Kit 38Pc Parking Side & Head Lights. It was easy to do with a meter you just figure out the high beam positive and low beam positive in the wiring to the original headlight then just put on the new plugs to those wires and share the ground to the low and high bulb socket. I then stripped back some of the shielding and soldered onto the park light wires to get the side markers working. You do not need new buckets for the headlights as you just order a complete headlight assembly and it comes ready to go. You will also need the corner lenses and the front turn signal marker assembly. My lower grille trim from my work truck grille fit perfectly with the Silverado grille. I got everything through rock auto but you could also get it all from LMC.
