You shouldn't have to pry the bezzel off if you can get the cylinder out to where you can read the code stamped in the housing.
I never throw an old key away and have a big ring of old keys to try in a lock and see if I can get it to turn I've popped the cylinder out of an ignition switch a few times with those keys.
