Yep, I shaved the firewall. but I had to cut an access hole for the lines, my kit is very old (2008). The lines are too long to do route them like the newer ones. I'm going to machine a nice cover out of aluminum. I may hit you up for some of the fittings once I get my cab painted.

Re: 72 Not sure what to call it yet resto!

I was about to put the door panels on and with all the new rubber the window glass pulled from the channel! I sprayed the rubbers and felts with silicone but the damage is done. When I had the glass out I buffed it but never pulled the glass from the channel it seemed fine. Question: What should I use to set the window back in the channel? I have urethane like you use on windshield installs??? That stuff is super hard though and I wasn't sure if that was a good idea or not.

Man I hate to pull the glass back out of it for this crap. Anyone got a suggestion or two?

Hey Mike! I just got it out of storage and yes it's been a while to say the least.
Hope to get back on it this winter and finish up a few things. Been doing the daddy thing and fooling with the boats.

Re: 72 Not sure what to call it yet resto!

After not messing with the truck really for the last few years I got the itch again. Had to pull the tank and decided to go with all new lines, tank and sender. What a mess the tank was in after sitting with junk 93 in it for 3 years.

While I'm waiting on the tank I got more insulation and started going over the cab again. First off I did the area behind the tank and got that all in place. Might work on the firewall and under the dash some this weekend.
