Got my new heads on and the Truck is running...only one problem
Finally finished getting my new Vortec heads on today and it fired right up. It sounds greats, only one problem. Somewhere allong the line I must of dropped something and hit the radiator. Well it put a pin size hole in it. I had a stream of water that looked like it was coming out of a little water gun shooting about 2 feet out of my grill. Looks like it'll be just a little longer before I get her back on the road.

I just went through this "Radiator thing" last week. Mine had a pin hole leake out the front. It was a good excuse to upgrade from a 2 core to a 3 core. I got mine new for $170. Darren

Does the regular ram horn exhaust manifolds bolt up to the Vortec heads?

Hey while your bull sh!tt!ng that hole might just be small enough to pinch off. I still have a manual radiator, so it's really time I put an auto one in anyway. Randy70c10 has one he said I can have, I think I'm just going to borrow it until I can get something new....maybe an alumium one.

Why not just pull it and take it to a radiator shop and have them solder it up? Or even have it re-cored to whatever you want?

Well I guess that would've been an option, but I already bought a new one from Advance Auto. $170 for a 4 core rad is'nt too bad of a deal, so I got it. Just a tip to those folks that are looking for parts like power steering, power brakes, radiators or anything like that check at your local parts store first, they carry allot of stuff for our trucks still and it's normally cheaper than getting it from a parts dealer.
