Chevelle coils??
I remember reading on here in a bunch of different posts that using pre72 chevelle springs in the rear of our trucks will lower it, but I can't remember exactly how much.
The reason I want to know is I am planning on going through the AC Delco spring book to try to match something up to the factory springs that will drop it but not change load rates too much (which I think the chevelle spring will probably do). I am thinking that if I find some that will work I should be able to do this for about 1/3 of what actual drop springs will cost.

"A' body springs lower it but not nearly enough! They are like $10 at the swap meets but I think they only lower it about 2-3 inches.

2-3" Is exactly what I am after. I am going to try for a 2" front (coil cut) and 3" rear.

Can anybody verify the 2-3" thing with chevelle coils?

when I bought my truck, i was told that it had cut 72 coils in the front and chevelle springs in the rear........i'd say it was about a 5/6 drop.... So I'd say the chevelle rear coils are about a 6" drop if I was correctly informed.
