Re: 67 Camaro Build
Surprised to see crap bolts in an Inline kit, but I guess, since most everything we buy comes form China, it shouldn't be a shock.
I don't recall right off-hand, but aren't the original steering arm bolts fine thread too, for more contact area ? |

Re: 67 Camaro Build
You’re right on both accounts, also one bolt on each side (front position) is an odd length to clear the sway bar links, which was my observation.
So, here’s a Camaro lesson learned, don’t wait this long to install the sway bar. With some doing I did get it, but ended up having to touch up a little. Not 100% sure but the old 6-cyl subframe showed no signs of ever having a sway bar installed. I had to tap the existing mounting holes in the frame. I don't like the supplied shorter links, and will probably end up changing the sway bar links out with a longer factory style that will put the bar more level towards the ends. This stuff in the pics is what came with the bar.

Re: 67 Camaro Build
Once the weight of the car is compressing the suspension, the bar ends should be level.

Re: 67 Camaro Build
You may be right, to date the links are still not changed out so we can see where it ends up. I’ve got some new repro factory-style links that are just a bit longer if needed. Besides the skinny tires should make for great handling you know!
![]() Finished up the steering linkage and added our Center Line rollers to be ready. No shocks, calipers, etc. need it to roll and steer for now.
