Re: 64 C10 5.3L/4l60e
Just going to leave as is and see what it does when it start driving.
If I have vibrations or my u joints don't last once I start driving it, I will cut the tunnel and raise it an inch or two to be able to raise trans to 3 degrees and swap out my shims for 1 degree and end up with 2.8 - 3 and drive shaft angle will probably move slightly but will get me closer to 2 degree operating angles. From looking at it I just need to cut a 4" wide section from tunnel so if I get rowdy and motivated I might cut trans tunnel on a slow weekend or something as well and just see what trans angle I can get.

Re: 64 C10 5.3L/4l60e
I would try to set the pinion so it's aiming the driveshaft as straight as possible toward the trans output but not perfectly straight. Drive it & see how it works. Make changes based off of that input.
Doing the calcs & initial set-up is good but don't get stuck on it. As things are added/altered on the truck, the numbers will change/vary anyway. Looks like as I was editing my post you posted as well LOL....

Re: 64 C10 5.3L/4l60e
Haven't posted anything in this section of the forum in quiet awhile, figure I would add the engine work I am looking to have done in this area from my build post.
Couple of pictures from this month. https://imgur.com/a/92AADR3 Preparing to have a cam installed in my motor, have a little over 3k miles on it since truck started moving under its own power back in Oct/Nov. So far the truck has been pretty good. Have a list of what I have in my cart and wanted to see if it looks complete. Price or parts/tax looks to be around $1850, all through BTR website right now. I am going by the shop I have labor quote from as they likely order everything up front, just getting a list together to estimate pricing. Would like to take care of he wear items while they are in there. Mileage unknown on motor as well, runs really well though. Also going to have them clean injectors and test, maybe clean carbon off valves while heads while they are doing the other work. Hoping to keep it reliable, with added power/trq and some cam lope. Cam kit with springs, seals and pushrods - BTR stage 2 truck cam Lifters, trays, bolts - (Delphi LS7 or Morel) High volume oil pump - (Chevy performance) Rocker trunnion kit with bolts (BTR premium) Timing chain set - (Chevy Performance) Cam retainer plate Trunnion upgrade kit Head bolts - (Earls) Complete Gasket kit, incl/ front main seal Fluids/Oil
