Electric window problem

Hi
It started all of a sudden. When you hit either door switch for the passenger window it makes the distributor click. Yep it does. Unhook the three wires off the distributor and it stops clicking. Has anyone come across this problem and Where do I start looking for a short
Thanks JD63

Re: Electric window problem

Cheapest thing to try first is make sure the Battery cables are clean.

Also make sure the battery is grounded to the frame and the Engine.

Then check your cab to frame Ground cables.

If you add some ground cables would only be a Plus.

With these issues I suggest doing one thing at a time.

Because if you add a bunch of ground straps to the frame from cab and fenders and clean the battery cables you will never know what fixed your issue.
