2007 silverado classic V6 to v8 conversion help

Hey fellas i have a quick question, will the original fuel pump work on my 2007 silverado single cab classic originally equipped with a v6? I'm currently doing a v8 conversion on it and I have everything else figured out but not 100% sure about the original fuel pump.. any help would be much appreciated thanks

First thing I'd do is look up the gallons per hour and pressure on the V6 & V8 fuel pumps.

If the specs are the same I'd just dance with the one that brung ya.

Re: 2007 silverado classic V6 to v8 conversion help

For what it's worth, Rock Auto lists the same fuel pump for the V6 and the V8s. Modern systems use a return loop to regulate excess flow, so this makes sense.

Good luck!

Do you have a build thread going? I too have an 07classic V6 in awesome condition, but have always wanted to do a 6.0 conversion ... would love to see what all is involved.
