Sorry I'm commenting on a 3 going on 4 year old photo but anyone know if that is a NINE foot bed? I think they had them in the Advanced Design era but I'm not sure if they had them in the Task Force era. Maybe only on GMC trucks, not Chevys? I like it because they're really seen. Kinda cool for their "rare-ness" - yeah, no such word. Ha ha.

Love Cameo's AND I would have loved to have found a 409 when I did my truck. My dad's '59 long bed Fleetside went from 235 straight six to a great running 283 and then he put a 348 in it. It was very fast for that time - mid 1960's.

I'd have put a 348/409 as a tribute to my dad and I would have put a Cameo bed on it - if I could have found one - as a "sort of" tribute to his Fleetside.

I bought her in 1980 when I got out of the Navy. I drove it to the shop when I started my drag and drive build.

The 59 is the project and the Vette is the doner car. I am going to use the drivetrain out of the Vette using Flat Out Engineerings kit.
Hope the pics. work its my first time posting them.
I'm doing the same thing but with a 55.1 GMC-100!
