Thinking of those is TN/NC

Just posting a concern post for those in East Tennessee and Western North Carolina. I know there are numerous members in the region.
The weather last week was devastating for many, and will take a long time to recover, if they do.
Damage in my immediate area was moderate compared to areas to the east of me.
Anyone planning a trip to the Maggie Valley area may want to reconsider plans
Whole towns were washed away on Friday.
I guess the reason for this thread is to get a “Hey, I’m OK”, or “We could use a little help”, from members.
I’m high and dry, and other than no cell/Wifi service, we’re good.

Re: Thinking of those is TN/NC

I'm in SC . We lost our power about 5 A.M. Friday . About that time a big pine tree fell on the corner of our house . Opened front door to look . Couldn't see a thing . Could hear and smell a gas leak . Turns out a huge oak also blew over in the street and the root ball broke the gas line . We called 911 , Gas company , etc . Gas spewed in the air 5-6 hours before capped off . Our power was out about 52 hours . Yeah , I was counting . Daughter's power just came on late yesterday . Bottom line , we were lucky and we're ok . Thanks

Re: Thinking of those is TN/NC

Hope everyone is ok thoughts and prayers out to all those effected. My son and his family lives in Augusta Ga. They themselves are ok. No power for a week was several days before they could get out to get dry & can goods. They had to go quite a ways just for the gas and food.
