Windshield Glass - Best?
Who is making/selling the best windshields for these trucks nowadays?
I've ordered Precision brand rubber and lockstrip. I'll be having a pro do the install and I want to make sure I've got the best parts. Also, did all the 73 and up trucks with Soft Ray (green tint) have a tint strip at the top of the windshield? I'm not sure what year the tint strip started being added. |

Re: Windshield Glass - Best?
Here are two different styles, both green tinted and listed for 73 and up. Any idea when the styles changed?

No they did not. That new option 83/84 think. It nice to have, myself I would never order the reg unless I had no choice. But it's your choice and your Truck. If your over 6.3 ft you may not like it as much.

Re: Windshield Glass - Best?
Most glass should be ok. But check the outer 2" of the glass around the edge to make sure the glass does not have high spots or low spots or bumps floss because that will not let it seal to the channel and rubber properly. As long as the defect on the inside of the 2" from the edges then that won't hurt it, but can you live with it that the question can get you discount sometimes.
