I have to say something. This forum is the greatest. I needed something so I mentioned it on here and just like that, someone helped me out. Thank You Locdoc. I hope some day I can return the favor.

Re: This Forum
Yes, this is a darn good forum. I don't think there is one question about our trucks that can't be answered here!

Re: This Forum
As with other forums, there are some members here who are childish and rude. Fortunately there are easy methods to block them.
For the most part, it is a great place to share knowledge with other like-minded enthusiasts.

I’ve been on this site for 20 plus years (Where did the time go). Anyway I’ve learned a LOT, had Questions Answered, even got advice on a few personal issues, that’s how comfortable I am on the site

Re: This Forum
Do tell, I would like to know. There is one guy...
But honestly as far as forums go this is the one that is the most civil. Virtually everyone on here are genuinely among the best people I have met online. I find myself on other forums for various reasons and I tend to clutch my pearls a bit, haha. On two occasions I have had someone from this site ship me something I needed - and they did not need - for free. They didn't do it to be recognized for it so I won't name them but I won't forget. I hope to do the same for someone, some time. Shared interests, maybe. More likely shared values. Really, great website, don't change a thing.

Re: This Forum
There are always going to be disagreements, and sometimes people aren't going to be all that good about making their case without being obnoxious about it. Meanwhile, 99.999% of the members here are really good about disagreeing. We are all at different level of knowledge, so it's good to be nice with people asking for help.

Re: This Forum
there's certainly some bullies here, even senior members that get overlooked when they are throwing their weight around, but that's common in any forum or group.

Especially when an Engine topic is brought up. The main thing I notice is, Members calling out other members that are just trying to help out. There is a Nicer way than (Calling them out). Most of the Older members Grew up doing this mechanic work. No One is a Better Mechanic than the other. We are offer Suggestions to help. The big deal In My Opinion is. Members need to communicate with the member asking the Question. Some Members / Try to correct (Opinions of Others) They think they are /Well I will stop right there.

I couldn't have restored my truck without this board. I learned if Doc says it's so, it probably is, 2nd nature, mass experience. He and guys like Grumpy, Firstowner, SSTim, Deadhead, Steeveedee, VetteVet, PJ, Wes, Tim, Paul, Greg and many more taught me so much. Wonder what ever happened to SSTim, GM's encyclopedia?

Re: This Forum
Yes, this forum has a wealth of knowledge about all aspects of our trucks.
IMO, there are very few folks here who are childish and rude, compared to other forums I've landed on after googling a topic. But there's always a few know-it-alls. There's a guy on another forum I hang out on who will counter just about anything you say. He's a know-it-all who actually knows very little!
