My cruise stalk/switch (from some year of a factory vehicle?) has red, green, yellow, and blue wires.
So far I haven't found that combination in any diagrams.
Anyone have any info for it as far as which color wires are for which function or how to determine?
post a picture of the switch, maybe I can find a diagram to help

You Got lucky finding that switch, they're hard to come by these days. That is from a 1981 van or 81-83 truck.
Blue- Ignition 12v
Red- Set/Coast
Yellow- Resume/Accel
Green- On/Off

A million thanks....I've looked everywhere but wasn't sure what it came from....
another piece to the puzzle....

one last question, will this switch need relays or will it wire directly to the CC module?

No relays needed with that switch since it's a GM switch

Confirming payment for a switch and the correct delivery address.

Being based in the UK, getting PayPal to use American Zip Codes causes all sorts of issues when trying to use my American family as the shipping address and my UK address as the billing...

Appreciate you checking in though, pretty sure I will have some questions when it becomes time to hook it all up....

Re: LS factory cruise control hook up

Does anyone know if a 2002 dbw tac module or stock ecm has a cruise engagement signal. I have Dakota digital dash and was wanting to use the custom inputs to show cc on the dash. I’m thinking I could use the positive input available to show cruise on by tapping into the gray pin 14 wire telling the dash that the cruise is turned on. But is there a way to tell the dash that the cruise is engaged?

Re: LS factory cruise control hook up

Will this switch work?

It is a single button cruise control wand off of a van column, but I am not sure what year. It has three wires: black, blue and brown

We want to use it on my boys truck that has a 2007 Silverado 5.3 / 4l60E swap.

Our repined LS harness has a bundle of wires for the cruise: gray, gray/black stripe, dark blue, light blue. From what we have read connector C1 (the engine harness one, not the one going to the pedal) pin 4 dark blue wire is the set/coast, pin 5 gray/black wire is the resume/accel, and pin 14 gray wire is the on/off. We need an ignition 12v source to power these through the switch also the brake lights hooked up and the correct brake light switch for it to work.

With a volt meter:

The blue and brown wires have continuity until the wand button is pressed. With the button pressed in it breaks the circuit, once the button is released it has continuity again so it is a momentary switch.

The blue and black wires do not have continuity until the button is pressed (momentary).

The black and brown wires do not have continuity until the button is pressed (momentary).

Help on where the Black, Blue and Brown of the column switch tie into the LS harness would be appreciated.
