Re: How about some pics of 88-98 Part II

Here’s my ‘98 K2500. Details in my signature. I’ve had it since 2011 or so. My dad bought it in early ‘04.

Building a small, high rpm engine with the perfect bore, stroke and rod ratio is very impressive.
It's like a highly skilled Morrocan sword fighter with a Damascus Steel Scimitar.....

Cubic inches is like Indiana Jones with a cheap pistol.

This part of the forum is not very busy, so I figured I would editorialize on the above comment even though it's from like ten years ago. Even if it's just silly. I started reading from the front of the thread. Per the above in bold, some people would say that my 93 has one of those in it every time I get in...

I just finished paging through the whole thread. There are a lot of nice trucks. Let's see more! I was looking at @90struckscene on IG. What's interesting is that they show many of the former show trucks with wild graphics from the 90s that are now derelict. But this thread shows that there are lots of near stock trucks that are well preserved.

Re: How about some pics of 88-98 Part II

Just scrolling through this thread, again. I revisit often to see the most recent posts. I decided it might be relevant to post some updated pics of my '93. It's been almost 2.5 years since I posted pics on this thread (just a few pages back). I've made a few noticeable changes over the past year or so.

Don't remember if I've ever put my '91 Sportside in this one. It has 88,000 actual miles.

Nice looking truck. You don't see many single cab dually's but I think they look great. From your comment I assume you got a good deal on it so congratulations.

You don't see many of the single or extend cab here in Ont. Canada , the winters got them .
I felt that the price was right and decided to keep it for now

Re: How about some pics of 88-98 Part II

My buddy that bought my '90 when I picked-up my heavier-duty CC shortbed OBS has picked-up another truck while the '90 is undergoing an LS swap.

The original owner was a service writer/mgr. @ the Chevy dealership my buddy has been at for >15yrs. The truck was always maintained by my buddy & a small other group of techs depending on the needs. It got a GM HT383 upgrade when they found some valvetrain concerns years ago. It's a good running truck for sure (HT383 crate/4l60e/3.42's). He (the original owner) retired years ago & reached out to my buddy since he was always interested in the truck. Apparently it's been mothballed the last several years & was sitting idle in the sun behind the guys house.

My buddy did some serious clean-up & some of our standard tweaks. He has several wheel tire combos from the stuff we've done over the years so not sure which one will be under it when it eventually goes up for sale......
